The district of Poble Sec hides, in one of the alleys that lead to Avenida Paral•lel, a little gem called Funicular that is worth having in mind when looking for a place to eat.
Born as a wine house in 1850, in 2000 it began serving aperitifs, the speciality of the house, and its offer grew so that it became the restaurant it is today.
Funicular is a little space with only six tables, run by Sergi Planes, who offers a seasonal menu with seafood as the main speciality. It also features tapas and seasonal small portions, always prepared with top quality products.
With no doubt, a must for gourmets.
